About me.

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Long before it became my career, I was the child who would disappear into the loft for hours, looking through photo albums and boxes of old family photographs and even admiring the little envelopes that were full of negatives. I loved how a photograph could transport you back in time, whether it was to a moment I remembered myself or to a part of my family's history that I had never been there to witness.
Our loft became my very own time machine - I loved it!
 

As I grew up, I naturally became my family and FRIEND'S unofficial photographer, and when my first niece was born, my love for family photography was born too. I photographed her in the hospital just hours after she was born, captured her newborn shoot, her first day at school, and have taken her portraits every birthday and all the milestones in between. As a result, she was and still is one of the best little posers I know. Now I have a daughter of my own, who has followed in her cousin's footsteps and become quite the little model herself. I've always loved that family portraits become photographs you keep, display and look back on for years. There is nothing quite like walking into a family member or friend's home and seeing photographs I've taken hanging on their walls. 

I feel incredibly lucky to now do for other families what I do for my own.

Outside of photography, life revolves around my 4-year-old daughter, who has already declared she wants to be "a photographer like Mummy" when she grows up. I’m a family girl at heart, a coffee lover (an iced latte is rarely far away!), and enjoy escaping to Portugal for a little sunshine, swimming and far too many ice creams and pastel de natas.
 

I started NDC PHOTOGRAPHY in 2016 originally photographing actor headshots. Since then, I’ve photographed businesses, brands and campaigns, alongside families, portraits and events. I’ve photographed people in all sorts of settings and for all sorts of reasons from helping someone feel confident in front of the camera for the first time, to creating a whole set of images for a business, charity or campaign.
 

This variety is something I genuinely love about photography. I can be photographing a small, intimate birthday party and the next day be photographing a large-scale event with hundreds of people. I’m just as comfortable in both environments.
 

I've always loved being creative and studied both drama and photography at college. A few years later in 2011 I graduated with my BA (Hon) Drama and Creative Writing degree and completed the Acting for Film course at Met Film School in London.

I spent years having the best time in front of the camera and gradually and very organically started to pick up my own camera and spent more time behind it. It has always felt like the perfect blend of everything I love: storytelling, connecting with people and capturing moments. Being an actress taught me far more than how to perform. It taught me what it feels like to be vulnerable in front of a camera. To wonder whether you will look your best, whether the photographs will feel like you, and to hope someone captures the version of yourself that you see in the mirror. I have years of experience working both sides of the CAMERA, so I completely understand that confidence does not come from simply being "photogenic". It comes from feeling comfortable. My role as a photographer is to create that comfort and help create an environment that puts my clients at ease. 

One of my favourite moments during every session is seeing that little "lightbulb moment" when someone fully relaxes. Their personality starts to really shines through, everything feels effortless... that is when the real magic happens!
 

10 years in and I still love the fact that I never quite know who I’m going to meet, where my camera is going to take me or what I’ll be photographing next. If there is one thing I hope every client takes away from working with me, it is not just a gallery of beautiful vibrant photographs, but an enjoyable experience, genuine confidence and memories they can revisit time and time again.
